Charity & Sponsorship

The modern financial structures’ activity is directed first of all to profit earning. However business cannot successfully develop where common to all mankind values, ideals of good and justice are consigned to oblivion.

We deeply believe that charity is an indirect indicator of the Company’s reliability and availability. We are proud of the fact that for the years of our activity we could generalize the experience accumulated in this field, and carry out well-thought charitable policy being of great importance not only for the organizations which receive material support from us but for the whole staff of Astana Finance JSC, as recognition and support of values common to all mankind are one of the most important elements of the Company’s corporate culture.

We are always ready to help those who need it using all our available opportunities, retaining at the same time priorities chosen earlier, and taking into consideration social, moral and also personal aspects. It is the charity where the Company sees opportunities to help young talents and to make its contribution to development of culture, arts and sport.

For many years the Company supports Veterans Council, Kazakh blind association by granting food on the monthly basis and rendering financial support to veterans and invalids. Every year substantial funds are donated for social development, including support to orphanage № 1 in Astana.

During 2007 the Company provided sponsorship to the following organizations:
* Orphanage № 1 in Astana;
* Organization of Veterans of RK;
* Kazakh Blind Association;
* Kazakhstan GАТU named after S. Seifullin;
* Eurasian National University;

Moreover, for the purpose of supporting new generation, the Company grants a monthly scholarship for 30 graduates of Orphanage № 1 in Astana and covers their tuition in high educational institutions of Astana.

In September of this year the Company participated as a general sponsor in the first forum “Bolashak-2007: Prospects, Career and Development”. The main purpose of the meeting was to inform the Bolashak Scholars about the employment prospects in Kazakhstan as well as to promote the cooperation between employers and Bolashak students.

During 2007 the Company contributed more than 20 million tenge for the social support, sponsorship and charity.
