Astana Finance of Kazakhstan and Export Development Canada signed the amending Loan Agreement for the extension of the credit line up to USD 100 million to facilitate the financing of exports of Canadian agricultural equipment to Kazakhstan

We would like to remind you that one year ago, on October 31, 2007 Astana Finance and EDC signed an agreement establishing a USD 15 million line of credit, later on May 16, 2007 the credit line extended to USD30 million. Margaret Skok, Canada's Ambassador to Kazakhstan, was present at the signing. The Ambassador stated that 'the support of the Republic of Kazakhstan continues to further the economic development and competitive positioning of both Canada and Kazakhstan in a critical sector.'
