Astana Finance was held in Kokshetau

On April 14, 2004 the meeting of representatives of business circles and local governments chaired by mayor Mazhit Yessenbayev and attended by executives of Astana Finance, the finance and investment company, was held in Kokshetau.

To implement the Message of Kazakhstans President in relation to development of housing construction and under government program for small business support, the government of the region investigates the issues concerning housing construction, mortgage lending and development of local businesses.

Akmola region is a large agricultural, industrial and cultural centre of the country. Its geographic location and natural and economic conditions predetermined its role as one of the major agricultural producers and processors in Kazakhstan. The region accounts for more than 20% of Kazakhstans grain output. Such trend outlined the suggested areas of cooperation between Astana Finance and companies of Akmola region.

Kokshetau, the regional centre, is also known as a resort zone thanks to its fine natural conditions. In view of the fact that housing in Kokshetau has not been renewed for years, and given gradual population growth and increasing demand of the citizens for modern, good-quality and affordable housing, Astana Finance suggests to implement the Housing Construction and Mortgage Lending Program in Kokshetau. Today, Astana Finance actively develops this program not only in Astanas market, but also outside the capital - in the cities of Atyrau and Uralsk.

Furthermore, Astana Finance will propose leasing services, primarily on leasing of various agricultural machinery of such world manufacturers as John Deere, Case New Holland and CLAAS. In addition, services on leasing of KAMAZ trucks (prime movers, dump trucks, truck mixers, cranes, fuel carriers, communal machinery), and leasing of NEFAZ, Volvo, Scania, Iveco buses, quarry equipment, construction machinery and Volkswagen and Audi cars will be offered.

Astana Finance executives presented the projects to the attention of the regional government and stakeholders, and put forward a proposal on setting up of enterprises in various industries, such as machine-building (manufacturing of specific units for KAMAZ trucks, assembling of agricultural machinery and buses based on KAMAZ chassis), gas supply (development of LPG stations, conversion of motor vehicles to LPG) and manufacturing of construction materials (facing brick, ceramic tiles, paintwork materials, mineral insulators, glass fiber pipes, bitumen felt, reinforced panels, dry mixes, aerated concrete construction materials).
